this sqwert was really hard to photograph, so i dedicated this whole day to it, even though i have four more i need to do. i seriously felt drained after taking these. it was hot and durrty but worth it because i love these pictures. im kind of running out of locations haha.
ps - i learned how to use my camera. i thought i was doomed.

some photos i took yesterday after work. i need to buy a lens with manual focus and i need to learn how to use my camera or else spending $1300 on it was pointless. ive messed around all with it a lot but i just dont get a lot of things and the manual is confusing. i put an ad up on craigslist for lessons but nobody has emailed me yet.
i am going to be busy this weekend taking more photos for the sqwert toy show. ive been scouting locations so they should be fun.

what i do at work:

i still dont know how to use my camera manually. i dont know shit about aperture or shutter speed or anything else. ive been reading the manual and messing with it but all the ones i took come out completely black. im so frustrated. and i dont know where to find someone to show me how to use it.

ok guys. my camera came in the mail and i am petrified! i am so scared to use it, or touch it or even look at it. i took everything out of the box and just stared at it all. and then i put it all back in the box. to get rid of my jitters, i took my old camera and went to the downtown mini mall. there was a festival thing going on so i took some random pictures of that and a video of some old people dancing:
 ( moar pics )
i just ate my subway sandwich and now im watching shaun of the dead. i am now going to try and figure out my camera. wish me luck!

OK IM GOING ON A DIET YA'LL.
today instead of going to taco cabana to get a freakin fatty burrito and coke i ate a banana and cranberry juice. i brought some tuna for a snack and for lunch ill either go to subway or eat something healthy at home. i guess i am also going to start taking the dogs (bandit) for walks. he is a fatty doggie and needs to lose weight too. i am enabling him.
i saw a commerical around 11:30pm last night for honey bunches of oats and i said "LETS GO GET IT BABE" and we went to walmart. an hour and $110 later we are home putting groceries up.
MORE HAUNTED HOUSE NEWS: cody's "chill room" door just opened last night! when that happened he told me about something that had happened the night before. he had fallen asleep on the couch and he said around 3:30am the front door opened. he thought it was our friends coming over and quickly realized it wasnt and slammed the door shut expecting someone or something to be pushing on it from the other side. scarrrrry.
wish me luck.
PS-im getting a haircut on saturday! weeee! so get ready for pictures! and! ive been scouting locations for more of the SQWERT show photos. theres going to be quite a few submissions so i am in desperate need of locations! ah! its hard though because i dont know what they are going to look like.

If you look carefully at the NASA photo, you will see a little white dot. This minute speck is Earth seen from the Voyager 1 spacecraft as it exits the solar system, nearly 4 billion miles away. The photo was taken back in 1990.

Look again at that dot. That’s here. That’s home. That’s us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every “superstar,” every “supreme leader,” every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there–on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds.
Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.
The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand.
It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we’ve ever known.
– Carl Sagan, Pale Blue Dot, 1994
